DAVE is a struggling African-American tattoo artist living in San Francisco in the early 2000s during the art driven counter culture days of the bay area, before Silicon Valley consumed the city. He has the opportunity to work for Oakland based Sylvia, one of the most creative tattoo artists in the world, but fame and fortune come with a cost.
